HB 1450 -- JOINT COMMITTEE ON TERRORISM, BIOTERRORISM, AND
HOMELAND SECURITY
SPONSOR:  Roorda
COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Special
Committee on Homeland Security by a vote of 7 to 0.
This bill extends the expiration date for the Joint Committee on
Terrorism, Bioterrorism, and Homeland Security from December 31,
2007, to December 31, 2009.
FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and
FY 2011.
PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill helps the state prepare
for man-made and natural disasters and provides the constant
oversight required for disaster planning.
Testifying for the bill was Representative Roorda.
OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
