HB 1784 -- FLAGS FLOWN OVER STATE BUILDINGS SPONSOR: Meadows COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Special Committee on Veterans by a vote of 11 to 0. This bill requires any Missouri or American flag flown on state property to be manufactured in the United States. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and FY 2011. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the symbol of America should be produced in America and only flags produced in America should be flown over state property.
