HB 1887 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Parson

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 10 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of State Highway 13 from the
intersection of State Highway 83 to the intersection of State
Route Y in Polk County as the "Rick Seiner Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and
FY 2011.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will be a fitting
tribute for a person who lost his life trying to help others.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Parson.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
