HB 2065 -- PSYCHOLOGISTS

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Special
Committee on Professional Registration and Licensing by a vote of
8 to 0.

This bill repeals the current reciprocity provision which allows a lic
or certified psychologist in another state with similar
qualifications to receive a Missouri license without meeting the
required criteria.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and
FY 2011.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill provides clarification
on who can be licensed in this state by reciprocity.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Wasson; and State
Committee of Psychologists.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
