HB 1622 -- Obstruction of Justice Sponsor: Bringer This bill creates the crime of obstruction of justice when a person intentionally prevents the apprehension or obstructs the prosecution or defense of any person and knowingly destroys, alters, conceals, or disguises physical evidence; plants false evidence; furnishes false information; induces a witness having knowledge material to the subject at issue to leave the state or conceal himself or herself; or leaves the state or conceals himself or herself because of possessing knowledge which is material to the subject at issue. Obstruction of justice will be a class A misdemeanor in a misdemeanor case and a class D felony in a felony case.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
