HB 1709 -- Tobacco Use Prevention Funds

This bill creates the Tobacco Use Prevention, Cessation, and
Enforcement Trust Fund to be used by the Department of Health and
Senior Services for a comprehensive tobacco control program.
Beginning July 1, 2008, certain payments to the state under the
Master Settlement Agreement of 1998, the agreement between
several states and leading tobacco manufacturers, will be
deposited into the fund.
