HB 1859 -- Renewable Energy Research Grant Program

This bill establishes the Renewable Energy Research Grant
Program, administered by the Department of Natural Resources, to
conduct research for renewable energy or ways to improve the
efficiency of renewable energy sources or for educational
purposes.  The program will fund projects involving solar power,
photovoltaic energy, landfill gas, wind energy, biomass,
hydroelectric energy, renewable fuels, municipal solid waste,
weatherization, and conservation.  The department may award
grants for up to 10 years.
