HB 1889 -- Real-Time Electronic Log Book for Pseudoephedrine
Sales

Sponsor:  Meadows

Subject to appropriations, this bill requires the State Highway
Patrol to provide all pharmacies in the state access to a
real-time electronic log book to enter sales of pseudoephedrine
products.  The bill also adds the purchaser's date of birth, the
type of identification provided by the purchaser, the
identification number, and the issuing state or agency to the
list of information that must be included in the log.

Any person who knowingly releases or discloses any confidential
information entered on the electronic log book to any
unauthorized individual or obtains the information for an
unauthorized purpose will be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
