HB 2053 -- Defensive Use of Force

Currently, a person does not have a duty to retreat from a
dwelling, residence, or vehicle where he or she is not unlawfully
entering or remaining and he or she is authorized to use deadly
force.  This bill removes the duty to retreat from these
locations when a person reasonably believes deadly force is
necessary to defend himself or herself or a third person from
what he or she reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use
of unlawful force by another person.
