HB 2095 -- Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child Sponsor: Cox This bill revises the crime of sexual misconduct involving a child by specifying that the current provisions in statute will be in the first degree. The bill creates the crime of sexual misconduct involving a child in the second degree when a person younger than 18 years of age has sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse with; knowingly exposes his or her genitals to, under circumstances in which he or she knows that his or her conduct is likely to cause an affront or alarm to the other child or for the purpose of arousing or gratifying the sexual desires of any person; or knowingly coerces or induces the other child to expose that child's genitals for the purpose of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person to another child who is at least 14 years of age but younger than 18 years of age and there is 24 months or less age difference between the two parties. Any person guilty of this crime is subject to a fine of up to $200 but will not be required to register on the sexual offender registry.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
