HB 2101 -- Kansas City School Board Elections Sponsor: Yates This bill changes the election procedures for school board members of the Kansas City School District by requiring, beginning with the 2009 school election, that six members who reside in the subdistrict from which they seek election be elected by a vote of the entire district rather than his or her subdistrict. Three additional at-large members may reside anywhere in the district and will also be elected district-wide. A vacancy for which no candidate files will be filled by the school board appointment of a resident of the subdistrict affected. No board member may serve more than two terms.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
