Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2109 -- Baldrige Continuous Quality Improvement Program in
School Districts

Sponsor: Dixon

This bill encourages school districts to participate in the
federal Baldrige Continuous Quality Improvement Program by
authorizing the payment of program application fees from the
Commissioner of Education's areas of critical need funding, the
use of the program as the basis for a waiver for administrative
rules, and the program's recognition as an approved activity for
the requirements of the Missouri Career Development and Teacher
Excellence Plan, commonly known as the Career Ladder Program.
Districts will not be required to match state career ladder funds
for teachers in a school that is successfully using the quality
program.
