HB 2127 -- Charter Schools

Beginning July 1, 2008, this bill specifies that any new charter
school in the St. Louis Public School District can only be
sponsored by the district or the State Board of Education as a
sponsor of last resort.  Current charter school sponsors may
continue their operations but cannot expand the number of
attendance centers.

The bill contains an emergency clause.
