HB 2212 -- Statutory Liens Against Real Estate Sponsor: Wasson This bill changes the laws regarding statutory liens against real estate, sets terms, and contains forms to be used to execute partial or conditional and full lien waivers in exchange for payment. Attorney fees and costs to collect money owed will be included in the amount for which a lien may be filed against real property. Currently, any party claiming a lien involving rental machinery or equipment must provide written notice to the property owner that the machinery or equipment is being used on the property within five business days of the start of the use of the machinery or equipment.
