Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2303 -- Open Meetings and Records Law

This bill changes the laws regarding the Open Meetings and
Records Law, commonly known as the Sunshine Law.  The bill
specifies that "public meeting" includes any meeting in which a
public governmental body receives evidence or renders a decision
regarding the retroactive or prospective application of a change
in the law.  Any record retained by the public governmental body
regarding the retroactive or prospective application of a change
in the law will be considered a public record.
