HB 2345 -- Department of Natural Resources Notices

This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to provide
a disclaimer when issuing a notice of violation.  The disclaimer
must indicate that the recipient has the right to hire legal
representation and that the notice of violation does not mean the
recipient is automatically liable for monetary damages or the
imposition of penalties or fines.  The department will retain its
authority to seek remedies and monetary penalties and to enter
into settlement agreements.
