HB 2424 -- Universal Health Insurance for Children Sponsor: Holsman This bill expands the State Children's Health Insurance Program to offer health insurance coverage, including dental coverage, to all children 18 years of age and younger and to students up to 24 years of age who are enrolled full-time in college and reside in the state regardless of household income. Beginning January 1, 2009, all children in Missouri will be eligible to purchase health insurance coverage at the same premium rates that are paid by the state to provide coverage to uninsured children with household incomes of less than 300% of the federal poverty level. Students in college must pay Missouri income taxes or be a dependent of a Missouri income taxpayer in order to be eligible.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
