HB 2432 -- Youth Smoking Prevention

This bill creates the Youth Smoking Prevention Trust Fund for the
deposit of moneys received from the Tobacco Master Settlement
Agreement beginning in Fiscal Year 2009 for evidence-based youth
smoking prevention programs proven to reduce youth smoking.  The
Commission for Youth Smoking Prevention is established within the
Department of Health and Senior Services consisting of 13 members
to designate money from the fund for youth smoking prevention
programs.  The commission must provide an annual report to the
Governor and the General Assembly by December 15 containing
information about the youth smoking programs, evaluations, and
number of applicants based on accountability standards
established by the commission.
