HB 2444 -- Food Stamp Eligibility for Convicted Felons Sponsor: Bland This bill allows an individual with a federal or state felony conviction involving the possession, use, or distribution of a controlled substance to be eligible to receive federal Food Stamp Program benefits if he or she successfully participates in or has satisfactorily completed a substance abuse treatment program approved by the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse within the Department of Mental Health or complies with all obligations imposed by the court, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and the Division of Probation and Parole within the Department of Corrections and meets all other eligibility requirements as determined by the Department of Social Services.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
