Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2475 -- Prosecuting Attorneys and Circuit Attorneys'
Retirement System

Sponsor: Stevenson

This bill removes the definition of "average final compensation"
and replaces it with the definition of "final average salary" as
it relates to the Prosecuting Attorneys and Circuit Attorneys'
Retirement System. "Final average salary" is the compensation
paid to an employee for the two consecutive years prior to
retirement divided by 24, excluding any employer-paid fringe
benefits, medical benefits, contributions to a deferred
compensation plan or trust, or nonrecurring or unusual payments
that are not part of his or her regular salary.

A $4 surcharge is authorized to be collected against any person
who pled guilty and paid a fine through a fine collection center,
including any county ordinance violation or traffic violation, to
be payable to the Missouri Prosecuting Attorneys' Retirement
System Fund.
