HB 2529 -- Firearms Safety Training Requirements

Sponsor:  Moore

This bill changes the laws regarding the firearms safety training
requirement for obtaining a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
The requirement that an applicant must demonstrate knowledge of
firearms safety will be fully satisfied if the applicant submits
proof that he or she:

(1)  Is currently serving full time in the active military
services of the United States; or

(2)  Has received an honorable discharge or a general discharge
under honorable conditions from the active military services of
the United States.
