HB 2548 -- Prescription Drugs for the Elderly Sponsor: Hubbard This bill requires the Missouri Rx Plan to provide prescription drug benefits to close the standard drug benefit coverage gap created by the federal Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003. To be eligible for the program, a person must be at least 65 years of age, a participant of the federal Medicare Part D Program, and have an income between 150% and 200% of the federal poverty level. Subject to appropriations, the plan will pay 75% of the coverage gap for each eligible participant in a plan year.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
