HB 1706 -- PUBLIC SCHOOL RETIREES (Baker, 123) COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Special Committee on Student Achievement Currently, retired teachers of the Public School Retirement System of Missouri and retired employees of the Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri can work full time for up to two years for a school district having a critical shortage and continue to receive retirement benefits. This bill specifies that retirees can work part time or full time for two years in these districts without losing their retirement benefits.
