HB 1710 -- POLICE AND CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF
KANSAS CITY (Flook)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN:  Special Committee on Retirement

This bill requires members of the Police Retirement System of
Kansas City and the Civilian Employees' Retirement System of the
Police Department of Kansas City to be in active service in order
to be eligible for certain duty-related or nonduty-related
disability retirement benefits.

Duplicate language regarding supplemental benefits for the Police
Retirement System of Kansas City, enacted in 2007, is repealed.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and
FY 2011.
