HB 1937 -- TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS (Pearce)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Committee on Transportation

Currently, if two or more counties want to establish a joint

whole or in part within two or more counties, the governing body
of one of the authorities may file a petition in the circuit

petition must be signed by at least 50 registered voters from
each of the counties and must state the name, voting residence,
and county of residence of each individual petitioner. The
district and proposed funding will be subject to voter approval
under one election.
