AN ACT
To amend chapter 8, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to use of public lands.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 8, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 8.890, to read as follows:
8.890. 1. No resident of the United States shall be denied access to any public land owned, managed, or funded by the state of Missouri for the purpose of riding horses or mules on designated trails and roads systems currently in use, if sufficient acreage exists to permit such use; except that, such access may be denied if such use is contrary or detrimental to the current usage of such lands by the state of Missouri or contraindicated based on available scientific or geological data.
2. Nothing in this section shall be construed to cause an act of riding horses or mules to be excluded from inclusion in the development of new trails on Missouri public lands.
