AN ACT

To amend chapter 285, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to employment leave for the birth or adoption of a child.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 285, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 285.175, to read as follows:

            285.175. Any employer in the state of Missouri who provides paid or unpaid leave to employees for the birth of a child shall provide the same paid or unpaid leave to employees for the adoption of a child.
