AN ACT

To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to credit card solicitation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.435, to read as follows:

            407.435. 1. It is unlawful for any credit card issuer to recruit potential student cardholders or customers for credit card business on the campus of any institution of higher education in this state.

            2. This section shall not apply to the solicitation of a credit card application by a bank or credit union located on the campus if the solicitation is made within its office.
