To amend chapter 208, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to home-delivered meals.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 208, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 208.280, to read as follows:

208.280. 1. The state of Missouri shall utilize a portion of the moneys made available to the state through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, as enacted by the 111th United States Congress, to provide volunteers who are totally unemployed or partially unemployed as defined in section 288.030, RSMo, with a reimbursement for expenses, in an amount equal to the number of miles driven multiplied by the state mileage reimbursement rate, incurred in the delivery of meals to qualified recipients through a state home-delivered meals program. Such moneys shall be distributed by the department of health and senior services to area agencies on aging using the same formula for distribution of federal Older Americans Act moneys and moneys from the general revenue fund.
