AN ACT

To amend chapter 67, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to blighted properties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 67, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 67.452, to read as follows:

            67.452. Any political subdivision of this state may declare any plot of real property to be blighted if such political subdivision has been unable to contact or locate the last-known owner of the real property for a period of not less than five years using all reasonable and accepted methods of providing notice to such owner because such owner resides outside this state or is reasonably believed to reside outside this state.
