AN ACT

To amend chapter 21, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the Missouri information analysis center.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 21, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 21.802, to read as follows:

            21.802. There is hereby created an oversight committee within the Missouri information analysis center (MIAC). The oversight committee shall consist of nine members. Five members shall be from the majority party in the house of representatives and four members shall be from the minority party in the house of representatives. All members shall be appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives with the concurrence of the minority floor leader of the house of representatives. The oversight committee shall provide legislative oversight over intelligence activities and assure that the activities are in conformance with the Constitution of the United States and the constitution of this state. Such committee shall oversee and make continuing studies of the intelligence activities and programs and submit and report to the house of representatives on matters concerning such intelligence activities and programs.
