AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of Sherman Thompson Parker Day.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.172, to read as follows:

            9.172. The twenty-eighth day of August is hereby established as "Sherman Thompson Parker Day" in Missouri in honor of and out of respect for Sherman Thompson Parker, a former two-term member of the Missouri House of Representatives who distinguished himself with his dedication and commitment to education and minority business interests.
