COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Higher
Education by a vote of 18 to 1.

This bill authorizes the student representatives to the
governing boards of the University of Missouri, Lincoln
University, and the regional and 4 year colleges and
universities to attend all meetings of the governing boards,
including closed meetings.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that there is no valid reason to
exclude student representatives from closed meetings of the
governing boards.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Jacob.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
