REP. GREG CANUTESON


Rep. Greg Canuteson, a Democrat, represents Clay County (District 34) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Elected to his second consecutive two-year term in 1994, Rep. Canuteson is vice-chairman of both the Science, Technology and Critical Issues Committee and the Civil and Criminal Law Committee. He also serves on the following House committees: Higher Education and Appropriations--General Administration and Transportation.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Canuteson is an attorney.

Rep. Canuteson is also a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and is on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of Western Missouri.

A 1985 graduate of Liberty High School, Rep. Canuteson obtained in 1989 a B.A. in history and philosophy from William Jewell College, and a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1992.

Born May 30, 1967, in Madison, Wisconsin, Rep. Canuteson currently resides in Liberty with his wife, Beth, and daughters Brennan and Natalie.
