Biography
Rep. Jim Hansen, a Republican, represents parts of Ralls, Monroe, Lincoln, and Pike counties (District 40). He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2012.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Hansen retired in 2002 as Vice-President of the State Farm Insurance office in Columbia, Missouri. He was elected to serve on the Hannibal School Board in 1980. Currently, Rep. Hansen is a member of Home Care/Hospice Foundation Board, Pike County Health Department, and the Adiel Baptist Church. Rep. Hansen also served in the U.S. Army.
Rep. Hansen graduated from Hannibal High School in 1965. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in 1969 from University of Arizona and a Masters in Secondary Education.
Born January 24, 1947, in Hannibal, Rep. Hansen resides in Frankford with his wife, Cindy. They have three children: Erin, Brad, and Brett.
