Biography
Rep. Muntzel, a Republican, represents parts of the following counties: Cooper, Pettis, Howard, Randolph, Saline and Chariton (District 48) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two year term in November 2012.
A graduate of Bunceton High School in 1969, Rep. Muntzel earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing in 1973 from Central Missouri State University - Warrensburg. There, he was treasurer of the Student Government Association and a member of the Signa Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
Rep. Muntzel is a member of the Masonic Wallace Lodge # 456 at Bunceton and a past Deacon and Elder at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Sedalia.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Muntzel is a 4th generation farmer where he owns and operates part of the family farm. He spent 26 years in the Livestock Nutrition industry, District Manager with the Ralston Purina Company. He later dedicated 12 years of his career as a District Manager in the Insurance industry.
