HB 1378 -- Filing False Records

This bill makes it a class D felony to furnish false, bogus, or
misleading information to the Director of Revenue in the
registration of a motor vehicle or trailer.  The penalty also
applies to using false information in the application for or
assignment of a certificate of ownership.  The bill requires the
director to reject the application and void any title or license
upon determining that false information has been used.  All
other violations of the statute are considered class A
misdemeanors.
