Biography
Rep. Becky Ruth, a Republican, represents part of Jefferson County (District 114) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2014.
In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Ruth currently works as a real estate agent. She is also a retired teacher and taught at Festus High School.
Rep. Ruth is a 1982 graduate from Festus R-6 High School in Festus, MO. She received her B.A. with teacher certification from the College of the Ozarks.
Rep. Ruth attends Victory Church in Pevely, MO. She currently serves as a State Director for the Jefferson County Board of Realtors. In addition, she is a member of the Jefferson County Parents as Teachers Advisory Board and The Jefferson County Growth Association. In 2009 she was the State President of the Missouri State Teachers Association.
She has received the MSTA Friend of Education Award, The Local and State Legislative Award from the YMCA, and the Friend of Agriculture Award from the MO Farm Bureau.
Born September 27, 1964, Rep. Ruth currently resides in Festus with her Husband, Don. They have four children and four grandchildren.
