The Chief Clerk is confirmed, along with the Sergeant-At-Arms, the Chaplain, and the Doorkeeper, every two years when the House organizes for a new General Assembly. The Chief Clerk also serves as the House Administrator and supervises the activity of eight non-partisan administrative staff divisions.
