Biography
Representative Ben Baker, a Republican, represents Newton County (District 160) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Baker is a minister, missionary, former professor and former dean of students at Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho. He also owns a small construction business that specializes in artisan trim-work. Baker also served on the Neosho City Council and as mayor of Neosho.
Baker serves on the board of his church, Bible Holiness Assembly of God, and he a past board president of Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center. He is also involved with Ozark Christian Missions and has led mission trips to India, Africa, and Central America.
He holds a bachelor of art degree from Ozark Bible Institute.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Baker currently resides in Neosho with his wife, Naomi, and their four daughters.
