Born in Houston, Missouri; Graduate of Summersville High School; Bachelor of Science Degree in Cartography with an emphasis in Land Surveying at Southwest Missouri State University 2003. He and his wife Chrissy have two boys, Rylan and Carson and they attend the Summersville First Christian Church. In addition to his legislative duties, he is a self-employed Professional Land Surveyor and the owner of Midwest Benchrest which is a nationally sanctioned 600 and 1,000 yard shooting range. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors and is actively involved with Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Texas County Farm Bureau & the NRA. Elected to the House: 2012. Republican.
Changes the laws relating to professional registration
Exempts certain types of vessels from provisions prohibiting passengers from riding in certain areas of a motorboat
Allows an individual to deduct income earned through active military duty, the National Guard, or reserve components of the Armed Forces of the United States from their Missouri adjusted gross income.
Prohibits the use of public funds for lobbying purposes
Modifies the damages for the offense of institutional vandalism to certain property
Removes the requirement that land surveyors submit letters of reference in order to be licensed
Establishes the Safe Schools Act
Modifies provisions of law relating to advanced practice registered nurses
Changes the laws regarding the Missouri Board on Geographic Names and Local Records Board
Specifies that legal services for certain indigent defendants shall be contracted out to private attorneys
Requires the Department of Natural Resources to sell certain property purchased with legal settlement funds
