Biography
Representative Dirk Deaton represents McDonald and southern Newton Counties (District 159) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
Prior to his legislative service, Deaton worked for a small Southwest Missouri manufacturer. He is the co-founder of the Noel Betterment Association and a member of the Anderson Betterment Club. Deaton is also a member of the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce, Seneca Area Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the McDonald County Republican Club.
Deaton graduated Magna Cum Laude from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. He also attended Crowder College and Missouri Southern State University. Deaton was present on the Dean’s List at all three institutions. He also was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Crowder College and Liberty University, respectively.
