Biography
Representative Mike Person, a Democrat, represents Florissant, Ferguson, Jennings, Calverton Park, Dellwood, Country Club Hills, and Norwood (District 74). He was elected in November of 2019.
He is also the Committeeman for the Ferguson Township and was previously elected to the Riverview Gardens School Board.
He is a Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator for workshops at Ameren where he works to help and give employees of six months to two years of employment the social skills they need to navigate the ever-changing demographics of the workforce. He is a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador for the Dorsett Campus of Ameren where he has discussions with employees at the Stores department about diversity issues.
As a Torchlighter for the United Way, he advocates for their funding to support charities around the country.
Person has been a member of four unions (The Teamsters, Laborers, UAW, and IBEW) representing seven locals. Presently he is a member of IBEW local 1439.
