Biography
Rep. J. Eggleston, a Republican, represents Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, and Harrison counties (District 2) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2014. In 2018, Rep. Eggleston was elected by his peers to serve as Assistant Majority Floor Leader.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Eggleston is a small business owner in his district. Prior to being elected to the Missouri House of Representatives, Rep. Eggleston grew up on a farm in DeKalb County MO, and was a software engineer in Silicon Valley from 1987-1992. He currently owns a consumer electronics small business he founded in 1994.
Rep. Eggleston is a graduate of Maysville High School in Maysville, MO, and later received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. Born in DeKalb County, MO, Rep. Eggleston currently resides near Maysville with his wife, Cathie. They have two children.
In 2018, Rep. Eggleston donated a kidney to help his wife and two strangers, and remains an active advocate for organ donation to save the lives of those with health issues.
