Biography
Representative Greg Sharpe, a Republican, represents the following counties in the Missouri House of Representatives: Lewis, Clark, Knox, Scotland, Schuyler, and part of Adair (District 4). He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Sharpe has over 30 years of experience in farming and business management. He farms 800 acres of corn and soybeans on his family farm, and has owned and operated a seed dealership since 1983.
Sharpe is an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus. He serves on the Board of Directors of MO Agricultural Leadership of Tomorrow, the Advisory Board of Greenley Research Center (University of Missouri), and the Board of Directors of Ewing Community Senior Housing. Sharpe served for 15 years on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Soybean Association, including a term as president. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the US Soybean Export Council.
Sharpe is a 1974 graduate of Lewis County R-1 High School. He graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in 1978 with a B.S. in General Agriculture.
Born in Quincy, Illinois, Sharpe has lived in Lewis County for over 50 years. He currently resides in Ewing with his wife, Theresa. He has two children, Michael and Megan.
