Biography
Representative Emily Weber, a Democrat, represents Jackson County (District 24) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2020.
Born in South Korea, Rep. Weber was adopted and raised in rural Kansas. She attended Butler Community College and the Kansas City Art Institute. After graduation from KCAI, Weber made Kansas City her home, building a career in communications and marketing, and is a graphic designer.
In 2020, Rep. Weber became the first Asian American woman ever elected to Missouri’s General Assembly. She is a member of the Greater Kansas City Women’s Political Caucus, the Women Legislators Caucus, and the Labor Caucus. She is also a part of the Women in Politics Foundation and is a member of the CWA Local 6400 to stand with and support our state employees.
