Biography

Representative Brandon Phelps, a Republican, represents Johnson County (District 54) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2024.

A longtime resident of Johnson County, Phelps is a graduate of Warrensburg High School and a successful entrepreneur. He has over 30 years of experience in the auto sales industry where he has honed his skills in customer service and business management. For the past 17 years, he has owned and operated Sonic Lawn and Landscape, providing quality services to his community.

Phelps has been an active leader in the Republican Party, serving as chairman of the Johnson County Republican Central Committee since 2018 and the 17th Judicial District from 2020 to 2024. His experience in these roles has deepened his commitment to representing the values and priorities of his constituents.

Beyond his legislative duties, Phelps is dedicated to his family. He is happily married to his wife, Angela, and together they share two children, Morgan and Allie. He takes pride in being a devoted husband and father, balancing his professional and personal responsibilities with a strong sense of purpose.
