Rep. Sandy Crawford, a Republican, represents Dallas County and part of Laclede County (District 129) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2010.
Prior to being elected, Rep. Crawford enjoyed a thirty year banking career.
Rep. Crawford is a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon and a Sunday school teacher. She is a member of the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce, Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Dallas County Cattlemen’s Association, and the NRA.
Rep. Crawford is a 1975 graduate of Buffalo High School. She received her B.S. in Finance from Missouri State University in 1995.
Born October 1, 1957 in Buffalo Missouri, Rep. Crawford currently resides there with her husband, John.
Establishes the Missouri Family Trust Company Act, which allows family trust companies to form and operate in Missouri
Changes the laws regarding powers of banks
Modifies offenses in which the schedule of fines may be adopted
Creates the Department of Revenue Technology Fund
Modifies when ex parte orders of protection may be issued
Modifies when a court shall include a written finding in the judgment or order regarding child custody
Changes the laws regarding tax payments so that a collector may use discretion in determining the date of unreadable postmarks on mailed tax payments
Changes the laws regarding residential mortgage loan brokers
Changes the laws regarding sales tax on manufactured homes
Repeals provisions requiring a landlord to keep security deposits in a depository institution
Requires the State Treasurer to issue letter rulings regarding the administration of the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act
Changes the laws regarding county treasurers so that expenses for training must be reimbursed
Changes the laws regarding the regulation of hospitals
